Apple and pumpkin picking are quintessential fall activities! Here is a list of farms and pick-your-own spots within two hours of the Charlotte area:
- Hall Family Farm (445 W Rebound Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720; 704-562-4021) – Pumpkin picking, market, kids’ activities, and a corn maze.
- Grace Pumpkin Patch (2955 Highway 160 W, Fort Mill, SC 29708; (803) 681-0636) – Pumpkins and gourds of all sizes!
- Carrigan Farms (1261 Oak Ridge Farm Highway, Mooresville, NC 28115; (704) 664-1450) – Apple and pumpkin picking, along with a haunted trail and swimming.
- Windy Hill Orchard (1860 Black Highway, York, SC 29745; 803-684-0690) – Apple and pumpkin picking available. Apple picking requires reservations, but the farm stand and cider bar do not.
- Apple Hill Orchard and Cider Mill (2075 Pleasant Hill Avenue, Morganton, NC 28655; 828-419-7955) – Apple picking, a bakery, and a farmer’s market. Orchard access passes are required to pick-your-own.
