If you’re in search of ways to give back this holiday season, look no further than this short list for places to donate toys, clothing, and other items in the Charlotte area:

Places to Donate Items and Give Your Time During the Holidays:

  • Toys for Tots-Weddington: Donate new, unwrapped toys at Weddington Town Hall until Friday 12/5.
  • Toys for Tots – Marvin:  Drop off new, unwrapped toys at the Marvin Town Hall from now through Saturday 12/6.  Donations will also be accepted at the tree lighting ceremony at Marvin Efird Park between 5:00pm-7:00pm.
  • Rice N Beans – donate coats, blankets, sleeping bags for homeless men and women (directed towards vets) until 11/21.
  • Charlotte Museum of History:  Bring 3+ shelf-stable items to the museum from now through 12/31 and get 25% off your admission to the museum.
  • The Bowl at Ballantyne:  Donate canned goods, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and more for Ballantyne Families in Need during the ice skating season (11/22-1/4).  Boxes are near the concession stands at the ice skating rink.
  • Holidays For Heroes Presented By Toyota:  NASCAR Hall of Fame is collecting donations benefitting Veterans Bridge Home from now through 12/13.
  • Holiday Heroes Toy Drive:  Bring new, unwrapped toys to Stallings Fire Department or Indian Trail Town Hall from now through 12/3.
  • Bechtler Museum of Modern Art – From 12:00pm-2:00pm on Tuesday, December 2nd, you can volunteer to put together take-home art sets for children in the preschool program.
