St. Patrick’s Day in Charlotte: Parades, Beer, and a Green River! | Charlotte Moms Network

Get ready, Charlotte!  St. Patrick’s Day weekend is something to look forward to…with or without the kids!  We’ve got parades to the right, and below, we have some adult-leaning events that are bound to be a blast.  Enjoy yourself…you deserve it!

  • St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at Great Wagon Road Distilling, Friday 3/14 – Monday 3/17:  Charlotte’s only Irish-owned distillery is going all out with a traditional Irish celebration.  Live music, rugby on the screens, Irish dancers…what’s not to love?  (122 West North Main Street, Waxhaw, NC)
  • Green River Revival – Saturday, March 15:  It’s not your typical start-drinking-at-breakfast event, but it’s definitely a fun one!  There’s a Color Me Green 5K, yoga, a half-mile kids’ run, live music, and of course, the annual rafting event where the river turns green! (U.S. National Whitewater Center, 5000 Whitewater Center Parkway, Charlotte NC, 9:00am-5:00pm)
  • Shamrock Jam – Saturday 3/15 and Sunday 3/16:  Presented by Queen Park Social, there’ll be bowling, festive food and drink, arcade games, and music…not to mention a Saturday Vintage Market and a Sunday Fiesta Mercado.  Did we mention that it’s a two day celebration? (Queen Park Social, 4125 Yancey Road, Charlotte NC)
  • ShamROCK Festival – Monday 3/17 This event is being held on the big day!  It’s a music festival with local bans, discounted drinks, and late night festivities!  The party starts at 2:00pm and runs until 2:00am.  (Monday Night Brewing Company, 2217 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC)
