250 Years of America: Charlotte’s Independence Day Celebrations | Charlotte Moms Network

Fireworks, food, music, and historic commemorations abound for this year’s Independence Day festivities!  Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence at one of these patriotic events in the Charlotte area:

  • Thursday, June 25th:  Mount Holly Fireworks Celebration from 6:00pm-10:00pm (fireworks begin at sunset)
  • Saturday, June 27th:  Charlotte Symphony Orchestra live performance at 7:00pm followed by fireworks (at sunset) at Village Park in Kannapolis
  • Tuesday, June 30th:  4th of July fireworks and games starting at 6:00pm at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord
  • Wednesday, July 1st:  “We the People” Happy Hour at The Market at 7th Street from 5:00pm-7:00pm
  • Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th:  Fourth of July Celebration at the Whitewater Center (all day)
  • Friday, July 3rd; Saturday, July 4th; and Sunday, July 5th:  Star Spangled Nights at Carowinds (sunset); Celebrate America’s 250th (all day)
  • Friday, July 3rd:  Independence Day Celebration at Stumptown Park from 5:00pm-8:30pm followed by fireworks at the Mecklenburg County Sportplex
  • Friday, July 3rd:  Liberty Shabbation-A Chabad of Charlotte Shabbat Dinner (service at 7:00pm; dinner at 8:00pm)
  • Friday, July 3rd:  Red, White, and Belmont Celebration at Stowe Park from 5:00pm-9:00pm
  • Saturday, July 4th:  Independence Day Parade in Downtown Waxhaw at 10:00am
  • Saturday, July 4th:  Independence Day Parade on Indian Trail Road at 10:00am
  • Saturday, July 4th:  4th of July Celebration at Birkdale Village from 10:00am-1:00pm
  • Saturday, July 4th:  Charlotte’s Stars and Stripes Spectacular at Truist Field beginning at 7:00pm (fireworks at 9:15pm)
