Recently, we shared our profile on Shameless star Emmy Rossum. In her Meet a Mom interview she shared details of her new role as an FBI agent on Hulu’s Furious, becoming a mom of two, and more.
From subbing at her kids’ school to playing “ridiculous made up games at home,” Rossum is all in on motherhood, even taking a step back from acting when her kids were very young. “They’ve helped me reconnect with silliness and joy, which influences the kinds of projects I’m drawn to now,” share Rossum.
Like most moms, she carries a curated collection of things in her bag—including things for herself and her kids. Here’s what’s in Emmy Rossum’s bag:
Her Wallet
“It usually has a couple of Polaroids of my kids and husband, and is tucked inside but always fall out and swims in the bottom of the bag,” says Rossum.
Magnatiles
“Two small travel size Magnatiles sets, because we don’t want fighting over one set. They’re great for restaurants,” says Rossum.
A Hair Band
“A scrunchie or hair tie is floating around in there somewhere too,” shares Rossum.
“A gift from a kids’ birthday party favor bag that my daughter regifted to me. It’s so ridiculously large and purple that I never lose my keys anymore,” says Rossum.
A Makeup Bag
“A small makeup refresh bag with Fix It Like a Pro brow gel, any old lip balm, and a tiny made-it-myself blush/lip palette,” shares Rossum.
Sunglasses and Reading Glasses
Finally, there are a few things Rossum doesn’t carry—but is glad other moms do. Says Rossum: “I wish I were the kind of person who remembered hand sanitizer, Band-Aids, and a tampon, but thankfully, there’s usually another mom nearby with exactly the thing you forgot, and all you have to do is ask.”
