Charlotte PRIDE in 2025 | Charlotte Moms Network

June has been known as “Pride Month” since June of 1970, one year after the Stonewall Riots occurred.  It became more widely known in 1999, when President Bill Clinton declared June as “Gay and Lesbian Pride Month.”  Over the last 25 years, there has been increased recognition and inclusivity, as we now honor LGBTQIA+ during Pride Month.

Here in Charlotte, the citywide festival occurs later in the summer, whereas in many parts of the country (including where I’m from up north), celebrations for PRIDE occur mainly in June.  There’s a variety of festivities coming up in June, which are listed below.  You can also visit AllEvents.in for a list of the bar crawls throughout the month of June honoring PRIDE month. Feel free to contact us @charlottemomsnetwork if you know of other commemorations that we’re missing, and we’ll add it to our list!
