Swimming at the lake, pool, or beach is always on my summer bucket list! When you’re new to an area, it’s hard to determine which places have everything (or most things) that you want/need.
Side note: if you’re looking for splash pads and water parks, our splash season post will tell you everything you need to know!
Here are some local pools (some require memberships, others don’t). Be sure to check out the pool’s website for information regarding amenities, memberships, fees, etc. We also have a list of lakeside beaches as well as some places to rent paddle boards, kayaks, and boats in the Charlotte area (mostly on Lake Norman, Lake Wylie, and Lake Haigler).
