As a girl from the coast, one of the things I look forward to during the summertime is getting drinks, lunch, or dinner out by the water. There’s something about the view and the proximity to a lake, ocean, or river that just makes everything more relaxing and extra delicious.
Although Charlotte is a few hours away from the nearest coastal venue, it does have some great waterside restaurants (via the Catawba River, Lake Norman, and Lake Wylie) that I’m hoping to check out this summer. Here’s what I found (and if you have any additions, let me know so I can add them to the list!):
- Hello Sailor (20210 Henderson Road, Cornelius, NC) – A little of everything on Lake Norman!
- Lake House Wine Bar and Grill (18665 Harborside Drive, Cornelius, NC) – Lunch, dinner, and great cocktails (Limoncello Spritz, The Castaway Daiquiri, and more!)
- North Harbor Club (100 North Harbor Place, Davidson, NC) – Lunch, brunch, dinner, and a great dessert menu on Lake Norman.
- Drift on Lake Wylie (315 m-lanyard Lane, Belmont, NC) – Seafood and chops on Lake Wylie
- Boardwalk Billy’s Raw Bar and Ribs (1636 Sardis Rd N, Charlotte, NC 28270) –
- The Pump House (575 Herrons Ferry Rd Rock Hill, SC 29730) – Rooftop bar, happy hour, brunch, and more on Lake Wylie.
- Eddie’s on Lake Norman (643 Williamson Road, Mooresville, NC) – An Italian/American menu with a Reserve Room just for adults.
- River’s Edge (5000 Whitewater Center Drive, Charlotte, NC) –A full-service restaurant at the Whitewater Center on the Catawba River.
- Papa Doc’s Shore Club (3990 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC) – Lots of seafood and lots of desserts on Lake Wylie.
- JR Cash’s Bar and Grill (1000 Marina Village Drive, Mt. Holly, NC) – Large menu with grill favorites (quesadillas, shrimp and grits, sandwiches).
- The Blue Parrot Grill (169 Pinnacle Lane, Mooresville NC) – Lots of summer-themed drinks, burgers, appetizers, and salads.
