Do your part in helping the Earth by attending one of these fun, environmentally-friendly events in the Charlotte area this month:
- Live Story Time: Earth Day! (Monday 4/7 from 10:00am-11:00am): A free, live story time at the Ballantyne Arts Center. This month’s book honors the great and powerful Earth!
- Charlotte Earth Day at The Independent Picture House (Saturday 4/12 from 10:00am-6:00pm): This film series focuses on community impact and the environment. It’s a free, all day event in honor of Earth Day…and it’s the largest one in the Charlotte area.
- Earth Jam 2025 (Saturday 4/12 from 4:00pm-7:00pm): At Robbins Park in Cornelius, NC, you’ll find a bunch of activities centered around conservation, recycling, and other Earth-related matters. Bring blankets and/or lawn chairs, and enjoy these events plus food, music, and more.
- Earth Day Donation Drive (Tuesday 4/22 from 10:00am-1:00pm): Put the 3Rs (reuse, reduce, recycle) into play by donating new and gently used items to Goodwill, who’ll be collecting at Brixham Park. Books on the House will be collecting new and gently used books as well. For a full list of items, click here.
- Earth Day Festival (Saturday 5/3 from 3:00pm-7:00pm): At Sardis Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, you can join in an Earth Day festival by engaging in outdoor games and nature education. Food, music, and kids’ activities will be available too!
