November 11th is Veterans Day, and in Charlotte, there are several events being held to remember, thank, and honor all those who have served our country throughout the month of November. Check out our list below:
- Military Appreciation Week: Saturday, November 8th-Friday, November 14th (North Carolina Zoo, Asheboro, NC) – Free admission for all veterans, their spouses, and up to 3 guests.
- Warbirds Over Monroe Air Show: Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th; gates are open from 9:00am-5:00pm and flying begins at 12:00pm (Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airport, Monroe, NC)
- Veterans Salute 5K/10K/Fun Run: Saturday, November 8th at 8:30am (Cabarrus County Parking Lot, Concord, NC)
- Salute to Veterans Parade in Uptown Charlotte and Carolina Veterans Festival: Saturday, November 8th at 11:00am (Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC)
- 10th Annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony: Saturday, November 8th with the parade at 9:30am and the ceremony at 11:00am (Veterans Park, Huntersville, NC)
- One Nation Under God Veterans Luncheon: Saturday, November 8th from 11:00am-1:00pm (Richard’s Coffee Shop Parking Lot, Mooresville, NC)
- Town of Waxhaw Veterans Day Ceremony: Tuesday, November 11th from 11:00am-12:00pm (Military Wall of Honor-Waxhaw, NC)
- Veterans Day Parade Honoring Hometown Heroes: Tuesday, November 11th at 1:00pm (Downtown Mooresville, NC)
- Veterans Day Program: Tuesday, November 11th from 11:00am-1:00pm (Veterans Monument at Cornelius Town Hall, Cornelius, NC)
